When first published in 1997 this well illustrated book raised the bar
in the way rugby league club history was presented. 397 A4 pages which
includes details of every player that has played at first team level between
1896 and 1997 as well as results, scorers and the line-up of every first
team match home and away. International and county representatives are
listed, as are club records. Reports on important matches and star player
profiles covered.

Published by the Heritage Trust in 2004, this full-colour 472 pictorial
history of Oldham RLFC is out of print but copies for loan or reference
are available in all Oldham MBC branch libraries as well as in the Local
Interest Centre, Union St, Oldham. The book tracks the history of the Oldham
club on a season-by-season basis from 1876 through to 2004. Over 1,000
images.

The story of 13 rugby league players all of whom lost their life in military
action. Two of those featured are Oldham forwards William Nanson and Billy

story of the exodus of Welsh rugby union players from the Principality.
Bill McCutcheon and
David Gwynn both played rugby union for Wales whilst
at Watersheddings. The ex Swansea pair were two of the brightest Welsh
stars that moved north seeking fame and fortune. That was back in the
late 1880’s. Since then dozens of Welshmen have donned the red
